Meridian Book Fair

There are many events that the PTO plans and runs and we need help.  Please review the opportunities below and, if you're interested in being a part of any one of them, please consider signing up by clicking on the volunteer button above.
  

 

8th GRADE GRADUATION PARTY: (8th) 8th grade parent volunteers help plan the graduation party.

 

BINGO NIGHTS: (All) Volunteers help coordinate this annual fun family night in March including ordering

dinner, securing raffles, prizes and volunteers.

 

BOOK FAIR (Meridian, Pritchett, Tripp): (EC-5th) Volunteers work a 1-2 hour shift at book fairs at Meridian (September), Tripp (November), Pritchett (February/March). Volunteers get a discount on Book Fair purchases.

 

DESSERT DAYS: (K-8th) Volunteers hand out monthly ice cream treats during lunch at school. You will be contacted to schedule your month(s).

 

BACK TO SCHOOL BASH: (All) Volunteers help at this family event on a Friday evening in the Fall.

 

FALL FUNDRAISER : (All) Volunteers help coordinate the sale and distribution of our fundraising items.

 

FUN FUN RUN: (All) Volunteers help plan and coordinate this all- community Fitness Day.

 

FLOWERS FOR TEACHERS: (All) Volunteers distribute flowers during Teacher Appreciation Week.

 

KIDS' ART PROJECT: (EC-5th) Volunteers help coordinate the creation and distribution of student art

projects.

 

LIGHTED SCHOOLHOUSE: (4th-5th) Volunteers help during these Friday evening events for Meridian students in October, February and/or April.

 

MIXING IT UP AT MERIDIAN: (3rd) Volunteers help at this event for 3rd graders at Pritchett and Tripp to get to know each other.

 

WINTER WONDERLAND DANCE: (EC-3rd) Volunteers help coordinate entertainment, snacks and help at this

event.

 

PIZZA DAYS: (4th-8th) Volunteers hand out monthly lunches at school. You will be contacted to schedule your month(s).

 

SCHOOL SPIRIT WEAR: (All) Volunteers help with sales and distribution of school spirit wear clothing.

 

SCHOOL SUPPLIES: (All) Volunteers help with the sale and distribution of school supply packs.

 


In addition, there are room parent opportunities which, in the past, included the responsibilities below.  Since there are still some COVID-related restrictions, we are unsure which of the below responsibilities will be necessary in the 2022-2023 school year.

 

Early Childhood Room Parent

1) Plan two classroom parties (Halloween and End of Year)

2) Coordinate with Kids Art Project chair people to complete art project in the classroom

3) Volunteer for a minimum of one of the three district wide events (Fall Fest, BINGO Night, or D102 Challenge)

 

K-2 Room Parent

1) Plan two classroom parties (Halloween and End of Year)

2) Coordinate with Kids Art Project chair people to complete art project in the classroom

3) Volunteer for a minimum of one of the three district wide events (Fall Fest, BINGO Night, or D102 Challenge)

 

3rd Grade Room Parent

1) Plan two classroom parties (Halloween and End of Year)

2) Coordinate with Kids Art Project chair people to complete art project in the classroom

3) Volunteer for “Mixing It Up at Meridian” an event in the spring that will bring the Tripp and Pritchett 3rd grade students together to meet before entering Meridian.

 

 

4th and 5th Grade Room Parent

1) Volunteer at Lighted Schoolhouse

2) Coordinate with Kids Art Project chair people to complete art project in the classroom

3) Volunteer for a minimum of one of the three district wide events (Fall Fest, BINGO Night, or D102 Challenge)
